Ich bin wütend. So wütend, dass ich Robert am liebsten eine reinhauen würde, aber ich schätze, es ist verpönt, einen Sterbenden zu schlagen. Stattdessen blicke ich ihn nur finster an, als ich an ihm vorbeigehe, um meine Bindung zu stärken. Wenigstens hat er den Anstand, reumütig zu wirken.

Warum hat er es ihr nicht gleich gesagt? Warum hat er sie es so erfahren lassen? Wo sie doch offensichtlich schon am Ende ihrer Kräfte ist. Warum hat er sie überzeugt, dass er sie liebt, nur um sie dann durch seinen bevorstehenden Abschied verletzt zu lassen?
